This Gender Study of Green Energy Transition in Vanuatu, with a focus on Pentecost Island, was prepared under the framework of the Vanuatu Green Energy Transformation (VGET) Project, implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in partnership with the Government of Vanuatu and with funding from the Government of Japan. The study examines how women, youth, and persons with disabilities can equitably participate in and benefit from the country’s green energy transition.
