Advisory Note: Mainstreaming Anti-Corruption into the Sustainable Development Agenda in the Pacific

August 22, 2023

Mainstreaming anti-corruption is critical to supporting the sustainable development agenda, accelerating progress towards meeting all the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and providing for the needs of the poorest and most vulnerable in society effectively and equitably. This paper provides a brief overview of mainstreaming anti-corruption in SDGs and discusses particular concerns about the situation in the Pacific. It provides recommendations on approaches for stakeholders to mainstream anti-corruption.

This publication was prepared by the United Nations Pacific Regional Anti-Corruption (UN-PRAC) Project, a joint initiative by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), supported by the New Zealand Aid Programme.
