UNDP Pacific Reaffirms Partnership for Goals with the Government of the Federated States of Micronesia

Palikir, Federated States of Micronesia - Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme's (UNDP) Pacific Office in Fiji, Munkhtuya Altangerel, has presented her letter of credentials to the Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Honorable Lorin S. Robert, in the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM).

Expressing gratitude during the ceremony, Ms. Altangerel reiterated the strong partnership between the Government of the FSM and UNDP, reaffirming UNDP's unwavering commitment to advancing climate resilience, effective governance, and inclusive growth in small island states across the North Pacific region.

"I am honored to have officially presented my credentials, marking a significant milestone in our collaboration with the Government of FSM," stated Ms. Altangerel. 

"We are dedicated to addressing challenges in climate, healthcare, institutional capacity-building, and maritime security, underscoring the importance of multi-sectoral approaches and support in achieving state and national development priorities."

During the dialogue, critical areas of cooperation were discussed, including water security and resilience, particularly considering recent impacts from El Niño on the FSM.
