Interview with Armen Grigoryan, UNDP Resident Representative on the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction

"Last year, the worldwide economic losses resulting from disasters exceeded 300 billion US dollars. However, only 130 billionс of these losses were covered by insurance, leaving approximately 180 billion globally vulnerable and without financial protection."

This is just a short excerpt of the interview of UNDP Resident Representative, Armen Grigoryan for the Morning show on the national TV station – Telma TV. 

At the observance of October 13th, the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction, this year themed as "Fighting inequality for a resilient future", Grigoryan discussed UNDP's comprehensive program aimed at enhancing resilience and mitigating risks. He also highlighted the relationship between natural disasters and climate change, along with the United Nations Development Program's coordinating role in the series of events commemorating the 60th anniversary of Skopje earthquake.
