Healthy planet, healthy people: Integrating climate, environment and health action in Asia-Pacific

Climate change, environmental degradation and biodiversity loss are increasingly shaping the health, well-being and resilience of communities across Asia and the Pacific. This positioning paper reflects UNDP’s commitment to supporting countries in translating growing recognition of the climate-environment-health nexus into practical action. It sets out a vision for strengthening governance, financing and delivery systems that can better manage interconnected risks while advancing health, resilience and sustainable development outcomes. Rather than offering a prescriptive model, the paper provides a foundation for supporting country-led approaches that respond to national priorities, capacities and vulnerabilities.
