Across Iraq, communities continue to demonstrate remarkable resilience in the face of adversity.

Years of conflict, displacement, and economic disruption have left deep challenges. Yet across the country, individuals and communities have shown extraordinary determination to rebuild their lives and restore opportunity.

The Building Resilience through Employment Promotion (BREP) programme was designed to support this recovery. Through targeted investments in livelihoods, entrepreneurship, agriculture, and skills development, the programme has helped thousands of Iraqis regain economic independence and rebuild their futures.

Through the rehabilitation of homes and infrastructure, families have been able to return safely to their communities. Through training and business support, entrepreneurs and young people have gained the tools needed to build sustainable livelihoods. Through investments in agriculture, farmers have been able to restore productivity and strengthen local economies.
