Within OAI

SECU functions within the Office of Audit and Investigations (OAI), which is independent from all UNDP bureaux and directorates. SECU investigation reports are submitted to the UNDP Administrator.

SECU's work is explained in detail in its Investigation Guidelines:

“The Compliance Review Investigations process…is intended to investigate alleged or potential violations of UNDP's Social and Environmental Standards (SES), the Social and Environmental Screening Procedure (SESP), and the social and environmental commitments made by UNDP in the context of a specific funding programme or project.”
