We're pleased to be supporting the G20 South Africa Presidency in advancing discussions on the societal and economic value of digital public infrastructure (DPI), in partnership with the African Union (AU) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

Focused on catalyzing DPI implementation, the DPI Innovation Accelerator seeks to foster knowledge exchange, highlight practical use cases, and support the scaling of DPI that are secure, interoperable with open standards, people-centred and rights-based.

This global call for DPI innovations and implementations recognizes that the benefits of DPI for people and the planet are not automatic -- yielding them depends on how DPI is designed, implemented and governed. 

This is an exciting opportunity to showcase how your DPI innovations and implementations can unlock public and private value through DPI Safeguards and interoperability.
 

With a special focus on catalyzing the African context, we're looking for:
Proven DPI solutions and blueprints
Prototypes and new innovations
Innovations expanding access to services for women and young people, creating pathways for innovation across the public and private sectors, and supporting inclusive economic growth are especially encouraged.

Selected submissions will be featured at the G20 Digital Economy Working Group meetings, the 2025 G20 Ministerial Meetings and the upcoming Global DPI Summit focused on accelerating DPI implementations.
