The multiple crises affecting the region have had a disproportionate impact on women and girls, affecting to a greater extent those who face discrimination based on socioeconomic reasons, ethnicity, sexual orientation, migratory status, among others. 

On March 12^th , 2024 UNDP hosted the CSW68 High-Level Dialogue "Financing for Gender Equality: Addressing Inequality and Strengthening Democracies" was held, in the framework of the 68th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW). 

The High-Level Event aimed to promote dialogue and exchange of ideas among women leaders of government entities on financing for gender equality as a strategy for poverty eradication, inequalities and institutional and democratic strengthening.
