Inclusive Finance: Making access to finance more inclusive for poor people

What is the project about?
This joint UN Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) / UNDP programme is designed to improve equitable access to land, markets and social and economic services. This programme will provide strategic capital and technical assistance to the country’s financial institutions to ensure better prospects for Lao people in the future.
What have we accomplished?
- Low-income households and micro-entrepreneurs have better access to financial services.
- Provided technical assistance to partners, including the Bank of Lao PDR, financial institutions and a microfinance working group.
