Government of Lao PDR Launches National Citizen Feedback Survey to Strengthen Public Service Delivery under the UNDP-supported LEAP Project

February 19, 2026

Vientiane Capital, 20 February 2026 – The Government of Lao PDR, with support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and funding from the Government of Ireland, has launched a national Citizen Feedback Survey to collect citizens’ experiences of public service delivery across the country.

All citizens aged 18 years and above are invited to participate by answering a series of short questions about their experience using public services. The survey is anonymous, easy to complete, and will remain open until 15 April 2026.

Citizens can participate through multiple access points, including scanning QR codes displayed at government offices and other public locations, accessing links shared via SMS, banking applications, and official digital platforms, or receiving assistance at One Door Service Centres (ODSCs). Participation is supported by a national outreach campaign using digital channels, radio, and community-level dissemination to ensure inclusive access, including for rural and hard-to-reach communities.

The Citizen Feedback Survey is a core mechanism under the Lao PDR Efficiency and Accessibility of Public Services (LEAP) Project to systematically collect citizen feedback and integrate citizens’ perspectives into monitoring, evaluation, and service improvement processes. By capturing how people experience public services in practice, the survey will provide insights to make services more responsive to citizens’ needs and guide reform.

The LEAP Project aims to strengthen responsive, inclusive, and accountable public services, in line with national priorities and international commitments.
