Launched in 2024, in collaboration with the Government of Lao PDR, the SDG Investor Map is a market-intelligence tool developed through extensive research and stakeholder consultation. It identifies 11 high-impact Investment-Opportunity Areas (IOAs) across 6 key sectors: healthcare, education, finances, food and beverage, services, and renewable and alternative energy. These sectors have both high potential on SDG-aligned impact and competitive financial returns for international and domestic investors. Notably, 55% of the IOAs require investments of over USD $10 million, and 73% of the IOAs offer a payback period of less than five years.
