When the dust of war settles, what remains is not just the rubble of buildings, but the resilience of people. In 2015, at a time when hope felt distant for many Iraqis, the Funding Facility for Stabilization (FFS) was launched with a singular purpose: to help communities get back on their feet. The idea was simple, but bold: move quickly, rebuild fast, and restore dignity by bringing basic services, jobs, and opportunity back to places once occupied by terror. What followed was one of the largest and most ambitious post-conflict stabilization programmes in the world.
