Governments
UNDP partners with governments in more than 170 countries to co-create solutions for their development priorities. From climate action plans and digital transformation strategies to election support and access to justice, our partnerships put countries at the center of their own development journey. In 2024, 101 developing country governments invested $1.2 billion of their own resources to partner with UNDP—because they see results. United Nations System
As a member of the UN Sustainable Development Group , we work closely with sister agencies to deliver integrated solutions—combining humanitarian response, development programming, and peacebuilding efforts. From supporting UN country teams with data-driven risk analysis to co-leading initiatives on digital public infrastructure, we help ensure the UN system works as one. UNDP delivers integrated, evidence-based programming that addresses complex development issues, drawing on its foresight and systems-thinking expertise.
International Financial Institutions
UNDP partners with over 20 international financial institutions—including the World Bank, regional development banks, and multilateral lenders—to unlock the resources needed to support government-led development priorities. From fragile contexts where we work with the World Bank to provide integrated solutions, to helping countries issue green bonds and access climate finance, we bridge the gap between development expertise and financial resources. Our partnerships ensure that every development dollar invested creates maximum impact for people and planet.
Private Sector
The private sector is crucial to driving sustainable growth. UNDP works with companies to embed sustainability into their business models while creating an enabling environment for responsible investment. Through our SDG impact initiative, we provide businesses with tools, training, and certification to measure their contributions to the Global Goals. From supporting small and medium enterprises to launching global facilities that connect companies across sectors, we work to transform how business operates. Philanthropies and Foundations

Civil Society Organizations
UNDP partners with civil society recognizing that lasting change emerges from the ground up. We work closely with the full spectrum of civil society actors—from grassroots social movements and volunteer organizations to indigenous peoples' organizations and community-based organizations that understand local contexts intimately. These partnerships ensure that development initiatives are driven by those most affected by the outcomes. By engaging directly with communities and citizens, we amplify voices that might otherwise go unheard and create pathways for meaningful participation in decision-making. This collaborative approach helps ensure that development gains are sustained long after project cycles end.
