The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) with funding from the government of Denmark is seeking proposals from non-governmental organizations (NGOs) operating in Northern Ghana to support efforts in addressing the drivers of radicalization leading to violent extremism.

The objective of this Call for Proposals is to identify NGOs operating in these locations to support the implementation of activities for enhancing socio-economic livelihood of target communities for women and youth in an effort to address the drivers of violent extremism in Builsa South district (Bachongsa), in Upper East region; Sissala West (Fatchu) in Upper West region, and Bole (Chache) in Savannah region.

In today's increasingly interconnected world, the quest for sustainable peace and stability has become more critical than ever. Across the globe, communities grapple with the multifaceted challenges posed by violent extremism. Recognizing the urgency to address this pressing issue, efforts are underway to empower communities through alternative livelihoods as one of the strategic tools in reducing vulnerabilities to violent extremism.

As a first step in the competitive process, we are requesting interested NGOs to submit a proposal to helpdesk.gh@undp.org by 29th December 2025, 11pm GMT.
