UNDP’s core financial resources come from the United Nations member-states through voluntary contributions. UNDP also mobilizes non-core resources from donors, private sector and various UNDP trust funds.
UNDP in Mauritius
UNDP supports and supplements national efforts aimed at reducing poverty in all its forms, accelerating the transition to sustainable development, and making sure national institutions and communities are able to withstand crises and shocks.

UNDP is supporting the government of Seychelles towards planning and implementing a strategic policy intervention in the area of environment, climate change and inclusive development. This has made UNDP-led support towards the realization of development plans such as the blue economy strategy and others.
Our focus

It recognizes that eradicating poverty in all its forms and dimensions, including extreme poverty, is the greatest global challenge and an indispensable requirement for sustainable development.

Mauritius SDG Investor Map
In collaboration with the Government of Mauritius Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning and Development and the Economic Development Board, the UNDP has supported the development of the SDG Investor Map for Mauritius, a tool providing data, information and insights on investment opportunities with the potential to contribute to sustainable development.
Seychelles SDG Investor Map
The Seychelles SDG Investor Map is the product of a partnership between the Ministry of Investment, Entrepreneurship, and Industry (MIEI) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The market intelligence tool identifies concrete and emerging Investment Opportunity Areas (IOAs) to attract private capital to national development needs and policy priorities in five sectors with strong SDG positive impact.
