The Government of Ethiopia volunteered to prepare the 2017 Voluntary National Reviews (VNR) on SDGs in response to the invitation from United Nations Economic and Social Council (UNECOSOC).

The Ethiopia 2017 Voluntary National Review reports on six selected SDGs and was presented to the High Level Political Forum (HLFP) in July 2017. 

It addresses the process of national preparation and implementation of the SDGs which has been undertaken in a manner reflecting the realities in the country and identifying strengths, gaps, challenges and opportunities in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
