A practical guide “World Trade Organization: for the Benefit of Enterprises” was launched at round tables “WTO Weeks in Belarus 2018” in all regional cities. The guide is designed for the management and specialists of enterprises operating in the field of foreign trade, public administration, science and business. It also targets students and academic staff.

The manual sets out basic rules and regulations stipulated in the GATT/WTO Agreements. Particular emphasis is placed on their use for national enterprises. The manual covers such issues as support to business following WTO principles; WTO rules on tariff regulation and customs formalities; measures to protect national market according to WTO rules; WTO rules on non-tariff regulation of foreign trade and agriculture; multilateral regulation of trade in services and protection of intellectual property rights. The manual provides clear answers to 10 most frequently asked questions about the WTO.

The book is published in Russian.

The guide is prepared within the framework of the fifth phase of the project "Assisting the Government of the Republic of Belarus in Accession to the World Trade Organization through Strengthening National Institutional Capacity and Expertise”. The project is funded by the Government of the Russian Federation and is implemented by the United Nations Development Programme in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.
