UNDP’s Global Plastics Innovation Programme brought together over 26 changemakers from eight countries – including policymakers, innovators, academics, and civil society leaders – in Osaka, Japan, to collaborate and share solutions to tackle plastic pollution. 

The workshop was made possible with the support of the Government of Japan, whose contributions helped ground the discussions in practical experience. Over three days, participants explored circular solutions to plastic pollution, examined Extended Producer Responsibility systems, and discussed the links between tourism and plastic pollution.
