Care Georeferencing Tool
The Care Georeferencing Tool turns fragmented care data into decision-ready evidence.
It helps governments map:
- Care services
- Care needs
- Accessibility gaps
- Care deserts, where needs are high but services are hard to reach
The tool brings together administrative data, collaborative mapping, census and household survey data, population projections, and travel-time data. It can help governments identify priority districts, target investment, and connect care planning with health, social protection, disaster risk reduction, and climate resilience.
UNDP RBAP is adapting the tool for Asia-Pacific, with Bhutan and Malaysia as the first entry points for adaptation and deployment in May 2026.
