UNDP presented the initiatives that Argentina is promoting as part of the Insurance and Risk Finance Facility (IRFF), a global platform that encourages the strategic use of insurances and risk finance as instruments to fortify financial resilience for communities, small businesses, agro-producers and ecosystems.

In Argentina, this program is backed by Germany's Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ in german) and has launched innovative experiences such as the yaguarete's (jaguar) protection insurance, implemented in collaboration with Misiones' government and regarded internationally as a first-of-its-kind policy

Strengthening alliances and capabilities

The meeting emphasized the importance that strengthening technical capabilities and the consolidation of strategic alliances has in broadening access to managing mechanisms and risk transference, all in accordance with the country’s development priorities.
