Catalyzing Strategic Philanthropy, Youth Economic Empowerment, and Innovative Financing in the Arab States Region
The Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation (AGF) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Regional Bureau for Arab States have partnered to advance resilience-based development across the Arab region by leveraging strategic philanthropy, innovative financing, and inclusive approaches to sustainable development.
At the heart of the partnership is a shared commitment to moving beyond traditional funding models toward more strategic and catalytic approaches that leverage philanthropy as a driver of systems change and sustainable impact.
WHAT WE DO
The partnership brings together philanthropic organizations, development actors, governments, international financial institutions, civil society, academia, and the private sector to explore practical solutions to some of the region’s most pressing development challenges.
Around 130 representatives from philanthropic organizations, UN agencies, governments, international financial institutions, donors, civil society, academia, and the private sector have participated in the series to date. By connecting diverse stakeholders and generating practical insights, the partnership seeks to strengthen pathways toward sustainable development, economic inclusion, and long-term resilience.
