Knowledge is what makes that capacity possible. Foresight helps societies see shocks before they arrive. Skills let people and institutions adapt when disruption hits. Data and indices show where resilience is strong and where it is thin. Used together, they shift the frame from immediate crisis response to long-term resilience, turning crises into openings for reform and growth. This is the conviction at the heart of Knowledge Summit 2026 and its theme, Knowledge: Navigating Crises in a Changing World, and it speaks directly to UNDP's Beyond Crisis Action Agenda: supporting countries not only to withstand and recover from crises, but to move beyond them. 

UNDP and MBRF are collaborating to organize a side event during UNGA to discuss how the Knowledge Project's tools, from the Global Knowledge Index to the Future Skills Academy, can help societies anticipate shocks, protect people, and move beyond crisis towards long-term resilience and sustainable development. 

This gathering is a milestone on the road to the 11^th edition of the Knowledge Summit 2026, which MBRF and UNDP will convene in Dubai on 17 and 18 November under the theme Knowledge: Navigating Crises in a Changing World. New York is where the conversation begins, setting the questions the Summit will answer and inviting missions, agencies and partners to travel that road together. The event holds to the Project's commitments to regional ownership and to the inclusion of youth, women and marginalized groups, in full alignment with Agenda 2030.
