In connection with Geneva Peace Forum 2026, UNDP and its partners are convening three complementary events in Geneva from 13 to 15 October, focusing on women’s leadership, political participation and technology-facilitated violence against women. The programme includes a technical meeting on monitoring methodologies on 13 October, an invitation-only dialogue on 14 October, and the official Geneva Peace Forum workshop, ‘Choosing Peace Under Pressure: Women’s Leadership in Conflict and Digital Crisis Environments,’ on 15 October. Together, these events connect research, country experiences and practical learning to explore responses to digital threats affecting women’s participation and peaceful democratic processes.

13 October — Technical Working Meeting: Towards Greater Methodological Coherence in Monitoring TFVAW in Politics
A technical meeting bringing together researchers, monitoring practitioners and institutional experts to examine approaches to monitoring technology-facilitated violence against women in politics and identify priorities for greater methodological coherence across contexts.

14 October — Policy Dialogue: Technology-Facilitated Violence Against Women
An invitation-only dialogue held on the margins of Geneva Peace Week, jointly convened by UNDP, UNEAD, GIHR and Sida. Drawing on experiences from Ukraine, Palestine, Uruguay and Jordan, it will explore how evidence can inform coordinated prevention, protection and institutional responses that support women’s continued political participation.

15 October — Choosing Peace Under Pressure: Women’s Leadership in Crisis Environments
An interactive 90-minute simulation at the CICG exploring how disinformation and gendered online attacks can threaten women’s leadership and peaceful democratic processes. Participants will navigate a political crisis and reflect on practical responses to protect women’s safety, participation and public trust.
