Welcome to our 2022 Annual Report, a report that takes stock of the work of UNDP and our partners in promoting sustainable development in Egypt in 2022. This year, Egypt gained global recognition as the host of COP27.

UNDP globally also unveiled its new Strategic Plan 2022-2025, aligning our vision for a more sustainable future. Here in Egypt, we also embarked on a new journey with the launch of our Country Programme Document (CPD), providing a roadmap for our work in the years ahead.

We also witnessed remarkable achievements. This report highlights some of our results and presents UNDP’s experience using its integrated, transparent, and innovative role. We addressed, together with the government of Egypt and our partners, some of the complex issues facing the country, namely in issues related to the environment, climate change, job creation, women and youth empowerment, persons with disabilities, health, and local development.

These achievements reflect the determination and inspiration of our beneficiaries, government counterparts, and development partners. They have been made possible by the support, generosity and investment of our donors.
