In 2023, the B+HR Asia project (EU) arguably had its most fruitful and productive year to date. In some programming countries, political and economic circumstances improved considerably since the start of the project in 2020, allowing for more consistent engagement with government stakeholders. In this context, remarkable gains were made in the area of policy development. Engagement with business professionals on human rights and environmental due diligence (HREDD) and with civil society actors on access to remedy also remained productive, though the consolidated impact of these two streams of work is not yet clear.
