Armenian-Georgian Legal Forum

On 11 April marked the launch of a two-day Armenian-Georgian legal forum, fostering collaboration and exchange at the high levels.

 

The forum participants were welcomed by Minister of Justice of Armenia Grigor Minasyan, Minister of Justice of Georgia Rati Bregadze, Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council of Armenia Karen Andreasyan, UNDP Resident Representative in Armenia Natia Natsvlishvili, and President of the European Public Law Organization Spiridon Flogaitis.

 

Led by the ministers of justice from both countries, delegations convened to address pressing issues including judicial reforms, free legal aid, personal data protection, penitentiary institutions, alternative dispute resolution, non-discrimination and combating hate speech. 

 

In her opening remarks, UNDP Resident Representative in Armenia Natia Natsvlishvili emphasized the need for close collaboration and innovative approaches, highlighting the resonance of the forum topics with the life experiences of the populations. 

 

The forum serves as a platform for mutual learning and the exploration of collaborative actions between Armenia and Georgia, reinforcing the commitment to shared progress and the pursuit of justice and equality.
