Restarting Afghanistan’s digital payment system could make aid cheaper, faster and more transparent, as well as helping reach more women and the most marginalised. This report from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) looks as what’s needed to restart the Afghan Payment System and ensure interoperability so that digital payments can be adopted across the country.
