Recognizing the youthful nature of Uganda’s population and the evolving need to support youth upskilling and linkages with jobs and employment opportunities, UNDP Uganda and partners have continued to work together with the youth to enhance their skills. 

The Youth for Development Portfolio – Skilling Initiatives, 2025 presents a consolidated view of UNDP Uganda’s youth skilling efforts across its programmatic pillars and projects. The publication captures the impact, reach, lessons, and scaling pathways of these initiatives, aligning them with priorities under the NDP IV and the Tenfold Growth Strategy. 

It also informs the forward-looking Youth portfolio approach for the 2026–2030 Country Programme Document. It highlights both ongoing and emerging interventions designed to equip young people with the skills, tools, and opportunities needed to thrive in an evolving economy - from digital capabilities and enterprise development to green jobs, vocational training, and frontier technology exposure.
