UNDP Uganda Country Programme Document (2026-2030) Brochure

September 4, 2026

In 2026, UNDP Uganda began implementing its new five-year Country Programme Document (CPD) 2026–2030, which sets out UNDP’s strategic contribution to Uganda’s development priorities over the next five years.

The CPD is anchored on youth and women’s development and digital transformation, and was developed through consultations with government, civil society, development partners and communities. It is aligned with Uganda’s Fourth National Development Plan (NDP IV) 2025/26–2029/30 and contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) 2026–2030.

The CPD’s three integrated thematic portfolios respond to Uganda’s 10-Fold Growth Strategy, with a focus on the key drivers of agro-industrialisation, tourism, mineral development, and science, technology and innovation (ATMS).

Implementation will be driven by strong partnerships with the Government of Uganda, UN agencies, development and bilateral partners, international financial institutions, the private sector, academia, civil society, foundations and other stakeholders.
