Marking International Women’s Day 2026, UNDP highlights the stories of Syrian women who are turning resilience into action and contributing to peace, recovery, and stronger communities. 

In this edition, we feature women from across Syria who are leading change in their families and communities, promoting dialogue, rebuilding trust, and creating new opportunities despite years of crisis. Their voices and leadership remind us that empowering women and ensuring their full participation are essential to building a more inclusive, peaceful, and prosperous future for Syria.

By supporting women as agents of change, UNDP works with partners to translate the principles of the Women, Peace and Security agenda into concrete actions that advance stability, dignity, and sustainable development for communities across Syria.
