UNDP Syria, in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Ministry of Local Administration and Environment, and with support from the Global Environment Facility (GEF), contributed to the development of the Sustainable Land Management Practices Report in Syria. 

The report serves as a practical resource to support policymakers, practitioners, and local communities in adopting sustainable land management practices that address land degradation, enhance resilience to climate change, and contribute to achieving land degradation neutrality. It also supports national monitoring and reporting efforts on land degradation and contributes to tracking progress towards the UNCCD Strategic Framework (2018–2030) and the Sustainable Development Goals.
