UNDP has recently provided support to the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for developing a framework to organize the first ministerial meeting of the Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Agencies in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). A communique approving a draft decision of the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Convention was announced by Nazaha’s President Mazin bin Ibrahim Al-Kahmous in the field of enforcing anti-corruption laws.  UNDP now continues the engagement with Nazaha to strengthen Saudi Arabia's national legal framework to effectively comply and allow for the implementation of the Convention on Combating Bribery of Foreign Public Officials in International Business Transactions of OECD while also supporting capacity building for Nazaha.  The new initiative was signed at the offices of Nazaha on September 20, 2023.
