SAIIA UNDP Report on Africa and SDG16

July 9, 2019

African states are among the most innovative and committed countries in measuring and reporting on the UN’s Governance Goal (Sustainable Development Goal 16), according to a ground-breaking new report by SAIIA and the United Nations Development Programme.

The report ‘Is Africa Measuring Up to its Goal 16 Commitments? The Road to the HLPF and Beyond’, has been released to coincide with the UN High Level Political Forum (HLPF) on the SDGs running from today until 18 July in New York, where countries will present their Voluntary National Reviews on a number of the SDGs, including for the first time on SDG16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.
