This country study has been developed as part of a wider research partnership between UNDP and the Centre for Human Security and Social Change at La Trobe University, exploring the political economy of accountability in the Pacific. This country study is one of six to be produced. The research has been undertaken as part of UNDP’s Accountable Public Finances to serve Pacific people – Vaka Pasifika project, funded by the European Union.
