We invite you to join us for the launch of the Regional Human Development Report for Latin America and the Caribbean.

The report introduces a Resilient Human Development framework, placing at its core the capacity of people —especially the most vulnerable— to withstand, adapt, and thrive in contexts of high uncertainty.

Grounded in three fundamental pillars —tools to manage risks, coordinated and flexible institutions, and infrastructure that bridges gaps and ensures equitable access to essential services— the report delivers a clear call: investing in resilience is key to protecting hard-won gains and advancing toward fairer, more sustainable, and dignity-centered development.

This call is particularly urgent in a region highly exposed to setbacks, due to persistent structural inequalities and limited capacity to respond even to moderate crises.

The report will be launched in two moments to reach the entire region:

  • Tuesday, September 16 – Quito, Ecuador - 9:00 hrs. (GMT-5) – Spanish
  • Thursday, September 18 – Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago - 18:00 hrs. (GMT-4) – English, French, and Spanish
