Supporting Kuwait’s SMEs with the knowledge and tools to grow sustainably, strengthen resilience, and seize future opportunities.
UNDP and KFH Conclude the Growing Sustainably Programme for SMEs
June 24, 2026
As part of the partnership to support the growth of Kuwait’s small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Kuwait Finance House (KFH) have concluded the Growing Sustainably programme, an initiative designed to help SMEs strengthen their businesses, improve competitiveness, and prepare for future financing opportunities.
Bringing together KFH SME Finance Relationship Managers and SME clients, the initiative focused on helping businesses understand how sustainable business practices can support growth, improve efficiency, and strengthen long-term resilience.
KFH SME Finance Relationship Managers participated in a series of training sessions that equipped them with the knowledge and tools needed to support clients in identifying opportunities to improve business performance, manage risks, and access sustainability-linked opportunities.
Building on this foundation, SME founders and business leaders took part in practical workshops focused on preparing their companies for long-term growth. Participants explored ways to improve operational efficiency, manage risks, enhance competitiveness, and position their businesses for future opportunities.
The programme helped build a shared understanding of how stronger business practices can support growth, resilience, and long-term success. It also contributes to KFH’s broader sustainability strategy and supports Kuwait Vision 2035 by helping SMEs strengthen their competitiveness in a rapidly evolving regulatory and business environment.
Through their partnership, UNDP and KFH continue to support the growth of Kuwait’s private sector and strengthen the capacity of SMEs to participate in the country’s ongoing economic transformation.
