This report examines the forms and levels of women’s participation in governance and peacebuilding in Lambussie and West Gonja. It highlights the systemic barriers, opportunities, and challenges that shape women’s involvement in leadership and decision- making processes. Women’s underrepresentation in formal governance and peacebuilding remains a significant concern, despite their substantial contributions to informal governance and community peacebuilding efforts across the two districts. The report provides actionable strategies to enhance women’s participation and address key issues, such as gendered disinformation, economic constraints, and socio-cultural norms.
