Innovation is one of the key enablers for UNDP to achieve gender equality. Complex systemic issues like gender inequality and crisis warrant new ways of working for UNDP, including systems thinking with a portfolio approach and behavioral science that informs entry points for a transformational change in societal behaviors and attitudes related to women, men, and those outside of the binary. In addition, emerging industries and advanced technologies cannot be gender blind or exclude women. UNDP offers analysis and guidance on how innovative solutions can tackle gender inequality in crisis as well as how to ensure women contribute to and participate in driving innovation.
