UNDP Angola Accelerator Lab

We are working to improve youth employment in Angola by applying systems thinking with various lenses.

We see ourselves as a team responsible for advocating and promoting the UNDP Accelerator Lab Network methodologies -- sharing, testing and scaling local innovations and approaches to tackle the most pressing development issues, with the aid of innovation and unusual data sources.

An initial portfolio of interventions was built by relying on collective intelligence and systems thinking that could consequently foster recognition for informal workers, their contribution to the economy and collaboration for a more adaptive and efficient urban market system.

We are also looking forward to strengthening innovation and entrepreneurship capacity to support the integration of new approaches and digital solutions at a national level.

Our Accelerator Lab sees itself playing an active role in the development of a national innovation ecosystem, and to contribute to establishing an enabling environment where innovation hubs, start-ups, academia and the private sector can find space to thrive, grow and play a pivotal role in the economic and social development of the country.
