UNDP Cameroon 2024 Impact Report

June 18, 2025

Dear Partners and Colleagues,

I am pleased to share the UNDP Cameroon 2024 Impact Report, which highlights the transformative progress we have achieved together in advancing inclusive, sustainable development and resilience in Cameroon.

This report captures the tangible outcomes of our collective efforts under the National Development Strategy 2030 (SND30) and the Sustainable Development Goals. In 2024, over 300 SMEs and cooperatives, led by youth and women, received support to scale their businesses. More than 134 social and economic infrastructures were built or rehabilitated in crisis-affected areas. 10 local councils in the North-West, South-West, and Far-North regions were supported to digitise their civil registry services. Additionally, 2,000 displaced persons, including women, began rebuilding their livelihoods. Several actors benefited from capacity-building initiatives aimed at improving their ability to access climate funding mechanisms. These are just a few of the remarkable outcomes captured in the Impact Report.

Beyond the numbers are lives transformed. In Mozogo, 32-year-old Mahama, a father of eight, saw his income surge after receiving a solar-powered shoprestoring both his dignity and livelihood. In Buea, the rehabilitation of the town’s health centre restored essential healthcare services to over 15,000 people. In Foumban, Alima, a mother of seven, expanded her clay-based soap-making business into a registered company now operating in major cities.

These achievements have been possible thanks to the unwavering support of the Government of Cameroon, civil society, the private sector, development partners, and the UN family. We are deeply grateful for your continued trust and collaboration.

As we sail through 2025, UNDP remains committed to deepening its impact through innovation, local leadership, gender equality, and inclusive financing, among other priorities.
