Special Envoy for Women and Children meets with UNDP ahead of the Spotlight Initiative Launch

Mrs. Kim Simplis Barrow, Special Envoy for Women and Children and Chair of SCLAN met with Ms. Marilyn Pinelo- Lee, UNDP Programme Officer, Ms. Tarun Butcher, Former CARICOM Youth Ambassador and Ms. Jacqueline Dragone, SCLAN Executive Director on Monday 11 August 2020 to highlight the work of the Special Envoy and SCLAN ahead of the Spotlight Initiative Launch.

During the interview, Mrs. Barrow and Ms. Dragone highlighted past projects, current initiatives, and their hopes to advance gender equality to help prevent gender-based violence in Belize. SCLAN received a grant to continue their work to engage men and boys from the Spotlight Initiative, a global, multi-year partnership between European Union and United Nations to eliminate all forms of violence against women and girls by 2030.
