in HDI

Türkiye is among the first group of countries in the Human Development Index and ranked 51st.
Meanwhile, in Gender Inequality Index Türkiye ranked 59th, and in the Gender Development Index placed among the third group of countries.
Closing gender gaps is one of the important tools for advancing human development!

NEET women

received mentoring support in addition to vocational and empowerment training under Young Women Building Their Future project. After the training and mentoring program, 211 women were employed.

2,178

women-led small businesses

in all 11 earthquake-affected provinces received cash grant support through UNDP’s Sweden funded programme.

11,280

people

benefitted from life skills trainings, vocational trainings, Turkish language courses, trainings for trainers provided by the programme.

5 million

lives

Private Sector Portfolio reached out to more than 5 million lives and 51% of these were women.

920

women

have been reached through the training sessions of Young Women Building Their Future project, and 500 mentors were matched with 500 mentees.
