As one of the four countries to successfully rehabilitate its forests, South Korea is interested in sharing its sustainable forestry experiences with developing countries to support nurture country-specific solutions. This paper introduces activities, policies, and strategies that allowed for successful reforestation in South Korea after the Korean War. It also suggests that the unique experiences of South Korea’s reforestation history can be a foundation for the piloting and implementation of practical strategies for ODA in the forestry sector.
