UNDP Liberia Annual Report 2024
April 28, 2025
Liberia has made significant strides in its economic and human development during the last two decades of peace. However, Liberia faces the critical task of consolidating these achievements toward sustainable and resilient development. Despite a remarkably peaceful democratic transition, Liberia contends numeous developmental challenges to achieving lower middle-income status, as outlined in the National Vision 2030 and the SDGs.
In response to these pressing issues, the newly elected Government has formulated the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development (AAID) to address factors such as low human capital development, a high poverty rate, gender inequality, limited fiscal capacity, corruption, food insecurity, and significant external dependency coupled with trade imbalances. UNDP’s support to the government through the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development (AAID) highlights our dedication to creating a more inclusive and prosperous future for all Liberians.
Through our unwavering commitment to sustainable development, we have witnessed tangible improvements in the lives of individuals and communities across Liberia during the year 2024.
