The ESIA is prepared by Earth time Inc. for the Monrovia Metropolitan Climate Resilience Project (MMCRP). The ESIA report is based on the assessment of environmental and social risks of the project and proposes measures to mitigate these impacts in compliance with Liberia, GCF and UNDP requirements. The report includes Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) designed to guide the project’s phases, ensuring compliance and environmental and social safeguards. 

The project is funded by the Green Climate Fund (GCF), implemented by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) of Liberia, and supervised by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Its main goal is to enhance climate resilience for the vulnerable West Point community, which faces severe risks from sea-level rise and intense storms.
