UNDP Lesotho Unveils Goodwill Ambassador to Champion Equality and Sustainable Development

Maseru, Lesotho – August 27, 2026 – The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Lesotho today unveiled Her Royal Highness Princess Senate Seeiso as its new UNDP National Goodwill Ambassador for Equality and Sustainable Development in Lesotho, marking a significant step towards strengthening advocacy and public engagement around sustainable development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Lesotho.
The appointment brings together UNDP’s development mandate and Her Royal Highness’s public platform and commitment to advancing issues that matter to Basotho. In her role, the National Goodwill Ambassador will support efforts to raise awareness of development priorities, amplify important development messages and encourage greater public participation in building a more inclusive and sustainable future for Lesotho.
Her Royal Highness will work alongside UNDP Lesotho to support advocacy and awareness around key development priorities, with particular emphasis on women, social inclusion, sustainable development and other issues aligned with the country’s development priorities.
Speaking on her role as National Goodwill Ambassador, Her Royal Highness welcomed the appointment, highlighting the opportunity to use her platform to contribute to the development of Lesotho.
