The Digital Strategy 2022-2025 guides UNDP efforts to help countries establish inclusive, ethical and sustainable digital societies. It is based on the Strategic Plan, and promotes a vision in which digital tools empower people and the planet. Digital Hub 4 Development Hub of Latin America and the Caribbean pursues the fulfillment of UNDP's digital strategy in the region.

The Chief Digital Office (CDO) was created in 2019 to enable, accelerate and promote digital transformation within UNDP and throughout its programmatic work. Designed as a comprehensive support center, the Facility will offer technical assistance that empowers countries to adopt cutting-edge digital tools, technologies, and platforms. It will also address shared challenges across the region, providing integrated solutions that benefit multiple nations. Dedicated to building partnerships among Caribbean countries, the Facility promotes collaborative, innovative approaches to digital infrastructure, public services, regulatory frameworks, and economic growth—transforming these advancements into public goods that uplift the entire region.
This joint initiative between UNDP, UNESCO, and ECLAC brings together specialists and practitioners from various sectors to foster collaborative efforts in exploring artificial intelligence and its role in development across Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). While considerable analysis has focused on AI's impact in developed countries, much remains unknown about its specific effects in LAC. This platform thus serves as a dedicated space for dialogue and the exchange of experiences, aiming to illuminate AI’s potential impact in the region.
