Jordan's Fourth National Communication Report investigates a set of key drivers exacerbating the effects of climate change in Jordan, namely the influx of refugees from the wider region and the continued stress on the country's natural resources. The   report uses an evidence-based framework to effectively mitigate the causes of climate change. This framework is underpinned by the following measures:

• Mainstreaming climate change into Jordan’s development as well as youth and gender policies
• Increasing public awareness, education and capacity building
• Facilitating scientific research, innovation and investment
