Ms. Doina Munteanu, UNDP Deputy Resident Representative in Uzbekistan
Doina Munteanu joined the UNDP team in Uzbekistan on the 1st of August, 2019, bringing 17 years of development experience, including 12 with UNDP in various field settings.
Prior to this assignment, Doina was Project Manager with UNDP Libya, leading the EU-UNDP Trust Fund interventions in Resilience and Recovery (2017-2019). She served as UNDP Assistant Resident Representative/Head of Programme in Moldova (2012-2017) and led the Confidence Building, Local Development, Inclusive Growth portfolio (2007-2012) working on various programmatic areas, ranging from local governance and inclusive growth to crisis prevention and recovery. Before joining UNDP, Doina worked with USAID and private foundations (2003-2007) leading civil society development programmes.
Doina holds a Degree in international Affairs and Political Science Studies from Moldova State University, and Master of Sciences in Development Management with the Open University in the UK. Fluent in English, Russian and French.
